Our current project examines the relationship between different kinds of activities with dogs, the emotional disposition of the dog owner, and the Human-Dog Bond. Find out more under the ‘About’ tab!
To participate in this study you must be at least 18 years old, and have lived with your current dog for at least 6 months. People in all countries can participate. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. The results of the study will be published on this page in the autumn.

Dogs of Edinburgh 
The relationship between a “working” dog and a companion dog are very different. Our dogs work as playmates for the children, protectors, caregivers and partners in our house. We do not have them performing farm work, hunting or segregated from the household.
They are an equal part of our family, they have birthdays get gifts and have their own Christmas stockings. They sleep on our beds and in turn keep the kids safe and warm at night.
Some think us strange…..we think we are lucky.
